Released
Patch 1.0.2 fixes four crash types, twelve gameplay blockers, two TacSim issues, and a Steam achievement sync bug. The most impactful fixes are the PS5 opening cinematic crash, the Emperor Suite rooftop hard lock in Chapter 8, and the infinite loading icon in TacSim.
Crash Fixes
PS5 Opening Cinematic Crash
Fixed a crash that could occur during the opening cinematic of Chapter 00 on PlayStation 5.
Guide impact: Previously, some PS5 players could not start the game at all. This is now resolved.
Operations Checkpoint Loading Crash
Fixed a crash when loading the 'Operations' checkpoint in Chapter 02.
Guide impact: Players who saved at this checkpoint previously had to restart the chapter. Chapter Select now works normally.
GPU Rendering Pipeline Crash
Fixed a frequent GPU crash caused by rendering and pipeline issues. Affected all platforms but was most common on PC with certain GPU driver versions.
PC Texture Loading Crash
Fixed a crash related to texture loading errors occurring on PC, particularly when transitioning between high-density areas.
Gameplay Fixes
Emperor Suite Rooftop Fall
Fixed an issue where players could fall off the roof of the Emperor Suite, blocking further progress with no way to recover except reloading a prior checkpoint.
Guide impact: Previously warned in the Against the Odds walkthrough and collectibles guides. The rooftop collectible pickup is now safe; the warning can be removed from future guide revisions.
Airfield Cinematic Skip Hard Lock
Fixed a hard blocker where skipping the Airfield cinematic at the last second could cause Bond to load out of world, requiring a full chapter restart.
Guide impact: The safe codes guide previously warned against skipping this cinematic. The warning is now unnecessary.
Airplane Chase Helicopter Propeller Stuck
Fixed an issue where the player's vehicle could get stuck between helicopter propellers during the Airplane Chase sequence.
Post-Auction Ledge Hard Lock
Fixed an issue where Bond could get stuck after the Auction, blocking progression.
Android Opportunity Blocker
Fixed an issue where destroying the spare Android before deployment would block the Shooting Range Opportunity from completing.
Guide impact: The challenges guide previously warned against early Android destruction. This restriction no longer applies.
Security Office Save/Reload Blocker
Fixed an issue where leaving and reloading the game after being escorted to the Security Office could prevent the guard from progressing.
Counterattack Displacement / Floating
Fixed a counterattack that could cause Bond and the target to slide along the corridor or float into the air.
Clipping After Thrown Item Hit
Fixed an issue where hitting an enemy with a thrown item could cause them to clip through the environment, particularly near the rock where the item spawns.
Explosive Pipes Not Exploding from Missile Pen
Fixed an issue where red explosive pipes during the first stage of the boss encounter would not explode when shot with the Missile Pen.
Guide impact: The best gadgets guide listed Missile Pen as an option for this encounter. It is now confirmed working.
Malta Training Combat Camera Too Close
Fixed an issue where the close-combat camera would stay too close and not pull back properly during the Malta training sequence.
Floating NPC in Aleph Market Hub
Fixed an NPC who was stuck performing a walking animation while suspended in mid-air, clipping with his market stall.
Hostile NPC Walking in Place Blocking Door
Fixed an issue where a hostile NPC near a checkpoint would walk in place and get stuck in front of a door leading to the next cutscene.
TacSim Fixes
Infinite Loading Icon When Pausing in TacSim
Fixed an issue where the loading icon would loop infinitely when pausing in TacSim, both in MI6 and during missions.
Guide impact: The TacSim guide previously warned about this bug and recommended avoiding pausing. This workaround is no longer needed.
Flash Mine Size Upgrade Breaks Functionality
Fixed an issue where equipping the Size Upgrade for Flash Mines and then restarting a mission would cause Flash Mines to stop functioning entirely.
Guide impact: The best gadgets guide previously warned against using the Flash Mine Size Upgrade. It is now safe to use.
General Fixes
Crowd Animation Not Resolved on Checkpoint Restart
Fixed an issue where crowd animation was not properly reset when restarting between checkpoints containing crowds.
Steam Achievements Not Triggering Despite Met Conditions
Fixed an issue where certain Steam Achievements would not trigger despite game progression and met conditions. Booting the game in online mode may be required for the game to validate achievement progression.
Guide impact: The trophy bug guide and trophy roadmap both listed this as a dated risk. The fix is confirmed in patch 1.0.2, though players should still boot online to validate.
NPC Distracted Alert Sound Rapid-Fire Spam
Fixed an issue where the NPC distracted UI sound effect would rapidly trigger in succession, especially when a bluffed NPC became distracted.

Released
Hotfix 1.0.1 addresses three crash scenarios, two gameplay progression blockers, and an Epic Games Store Deluxe Edition granting issue. All fixes target early-game chapters.

Fixed a crash during the cutscene after Opening Credits in 'In His Majesty's Secret Service'.
M's Office Cutscene Crash
Fixed a crash after leaving M's office in Chapter 02.
Returning to London Cutscene Crash
Fixed a crash during the cutscene after completing Chapter 05.
Gameplay Fixes
Guards Skip Confrontational Dialogue
Fixed an issue where guards became hostile immediately after Bond left the CCTV room, skipping their confrontational dialogue entirely.
NPC Pathing Issues When Bond Blocks Path
Fixed NPCs disappearing or clipping through walls when Bond physically blocked their intended path.

Epic Games Store Deluxe Edition Items Not Granted
Fixed incorrect granting of Deluxe Edition items on Epic Games Store.
Download Size by Platform
The Microsoft Store PC version requires a full game reinstall for every patch due to packaging format differences. IOI has acknowledged this and plans to address it within the next two updates.

Other
Microsoft Store PC requires full reinstall for every patch
The Microsoft Store PC version downloads the entire game (~46–57 GB) for every patch instead of a delta update. IOI has acknowledged this and plans to fix it within the next two updates.
Workaround
Use Steam or Epic Games Store for smaller downloads.

Trophies & Achievements
TacSim Clearance Level 3 trophy delayed or not unlocking
The trophy for reaching Clearance Level 3 in TacSim can be delayed or fail to unlock immediately. This appears to be a server-side validation issue rather than a client bug.
Workaround
Continue to Clearance Level 4 — the trophy often unlocks retroactively. Ensure you are online.

Collectible trophies delayed after final pickup
Trophies for completing collectible sets (Playing Cards, Intel, Mementos, Postcards, Legacy Items) sometimes do not unlock immediately after the final pickup. The game may need time to register the completion.
Workaround
Wait 30–60 seconds. If still not unlocked, open the TacSim menu and check the collectibles wall. Keep a save backup before the final pickup.

Some Steam achievements still not triggering after 1.0.2
Despite the 1.0.2 fix for Steam achievement sync, some players report certain achievements still fail to unlock. Booting in online mode is required for validation, but even then some edge cases persist.
Workaround
Boot the game in online mode. If an achievement is still missing, try replaying the triggering condition in a fresh session.

Recovered Assets trophy (Mementos) significantly delayed
The Recovered Assets trophy for collecting all 14 Mementos is reported to have the longest delay among collectible trophies. Some players wait hours or need to recheck the TacSim collectibles wall.
Workaround
Collect all 14, wait, then open TacSim menu → inspect collectibles wall. If still missing, collect the last Memento again in a fresh session.

Progression Blockers
Chapter Select may strip Laser Strap and other gadgets
When using Chapter Select to replay earlier chapters, the player's gadget loadout may be reset, removing the Laser Strap and other late-game unlocks. This makes certain collectibles unreachable.
Workaround
If Laser Strap is missing, replay from Chapter 09 checkpoint instead of using Chapter Select on later chapters.
